Need help identifying alternative song

Ok, so I remember very little of the song, but what I do remember is part of the chorus that goes something like:
"put it on the (some word that rhymes with Ritz)", or "blame it on the (Ritz rhyme)".

I swear there is also a line about 'trying not to act like Phil Collins' or something like that in there, but I might be on crack for that one.

Anyone have any ideas?

This song was originated by Irving Berlin and covered by many. In the early 80s, "Taco" Ockerse had a hit with the song "Puttin' (Putting) on The Ritz". Hope this helps.

Awesome, thanks logan01, that's the song. The version I heard sounded a bit more modern than the Taco one, so I'm guessing it was a cover by some alt/punk band, but again I could be way off. This is what I get for only catching a small snippet of the song. Anyway, knowing the name of the song should help my search greatly.
