VH1 Classic Ad Featuring Prince

VH1 Classic runs an ad a few times a day advertising VH1 Classic (go figure). This particular one shows several still photos of Prince while one of his songs is playing. The only lyrics I can make out sound like the words "true lies, oh why". The 20 seconds or so snippet has the sound of a rather slow ballad. I would like the title of the song if you recognize those lyrics or something close to those lyrics. I've googled, searched, etc with no positive results. Thanks.
