It's from the nineties I think, could be early 2000s - it's got a woman's voice, big husky, jazzy voice. The song itself is more of an R&B style but not so much the Beyonce R&B, less pop-y than that.
The chorus goes:

It's also got some sort of a cool flute part on the bridge.

I've spent the last week or so trying to find the name of this song as well.

I should add...I heard it on an R&B mix CD made in 03-04, from the other songs with it I imagine it was made only a few years before that.
