Its a popular song. Played on slow dance and love stations. I don't remember much and I tryed almost every possibility. Please help!

Part of the chorus is: "Mothers speaking to your daughters." I think a part follows up that sounds like "Fathers will act like they do. Girls become mothers and" I don't know the rest. PLEASE HELP!
