Default Need help identifying a 90's, possibly 80's rock song.

This is drving me nuts, I've heard this song maybe a dozen or so times on the local rock radio station over the past 10 years or so. Each time that I've heard it, they failed to enlighten me as to who the hell plays it! (I hate when they do that, lol) I've tried searching the internet for what little lyrics I remembered and kept comming up with several different results, none of which seem to be it, so I'm going to try asking here.

The song at one point repeatedly shouts out these lyrics:

Let me diiiiieeeee, let me diiiiiiieeeee, let me diiiiiieeeee, let me diiiiiiiiiiieeeeeeeee. Oh let me die, oh let me die, oh let me die, oh let me die, oh let me die, oh let me die, oh let me diiiiiiiiieeeeeee.

I'm not even sure if he says "die", it could be something else that rhymes with it, like try, fly, or even cry, lol.

Does anyone know what song I'm talking about? Any help would be appreciated.

My first choice would be "Tell Me Why" by EXPOSé
CHORUS
Oh oh oh oh, tell me, tell me why
Oh oh oh oh, tell me, tell me why
Oh oh oh oh, tell me, tell me why
Oh oh oh oh, tell me, tell me why

My other wild guesses are (includes female artists):

"Let Me Die Young" by TAXIRIDE

"Let Me Try" by Hope Partlow

"Dark Moon" by Elvis Presley, Jim Reeves or Gale Storm
"Oh, tell me why, oh tell me why"

"Sad Moon" by Island Song
"Oh, tell me why, oh tell me why"
(This appears to be a rip-off of "Dark Moon")

"Tell Me Why" by the Spice Girls
"Tell Me Why" by Ideal

Thanks for your help, but I looked up all of those (except the ones I knew for sure weren't it) and none of them was the song that I'm looking for. It just baffles me how hard it is to identify this song, especially when the same lyrics are used in so many different songs and I'm possibly mishearing the lyrics too.

To add to the profile for this song:
- It's sung by a male and he screams out a lot of the words in the lyrics.
- It uses electric guitars in a metal sort of way.

I can tell its a fairly popular song still, despite being at least 10 years old. My local Rock station still plays it, although rarely. Last time I heard it they didn't bother to say what it was and I was driving, so I couldn't look it up on their site (they list their last 10 or so previously played songs).

Probably a long shot, but could it be Korn - Helmet In the Bush, from approx 1994..
Portion of the lyrics:
Please God don't let me die tonight,
die tonight, die tonight, die tonight

Please God help me
Please God help me
Please God help me from my painful situation

Please God don't let me slip in tonight, please God
Oh, please God don't let me chip in tonight, please God
Oh, please God don't let me slip in tonight, don't let me die
Please God don't let me give in tonight, don't let me die

Well its definately not Korn.

Oh well, thanks anyways guys. I think I'm going to have to keep listening for it and then check the radio station's website to see what it was.
