Lost singer and song

Hi, I thought maybe someone could help identify a song I heard on a video recording back in late 1997. Its a woman, she sounds like Kate Ryan, its a disco type sound and here are a few lyrics I managed to hear on the tape (between all the noise): the chorus is " one love, one heart, one soul...er... then, " when we cry,when we laugh, holding hands you and I, look how far we have come..." The rest is jumble, too much noise.
