    Smile Help me find a song

    I am trying to find out the artist and title to a song that came out in the late 60's - early 70's. The first line of the song is "This rut I'm in can't be the right thing". Other fragments are "eyes that were filled with fire", "lips that were burning with desire".

    Please help?!

    hi not sure this is what you're looking for but try this....my mind was filled with fire that burned behind my eyes???
    that was from never happy by the crack pipes...i haven't heard it but a friend said she thinks thats the one

    Hi Nightlady - that's not it, but thanks for the help. The song that I am looking for could be called one of the "boring ballads" of the 60's and 70's.
