Searching for a song, of course!

I've heard this one before but never could find it on any of the search engine on the web. Today it played again while I was driving and I jotted down a few lyrics. This was played on an adult alternative rock station. It is not quite a ballad, but it's not a hard rock song.

"doesn't make a difference now"
"you're causin' it" (singer seems to have a drawl of some sort)
"when in doubt, move on"
"living right is easy"
and I believe the word "drown" was used in the refrain. Hopefully this is enough for somebody to recognize it.
