"Never Felt So Good"

I've been trying to identify a song which I remember, probably best described as a rock ballad (possibly 80s).

All I know is that every other line in the chorus was something like "I've never felt so good", and that the singer was male.

Not much to go on I know, but I thought it would be worth a try to see if anyone else might have a clue what song this is.

I think that it is that song that goes, "Sail on, honey (sugar - verse 2) good times never felt so good." but that's all the info that i got because I was wondering what that song was too. I have heard it before but I just turned on the radio right when it was ending the other day and all i got was "....ood times never felt so good." so i was desperately trying to find it but to no avail until tonight when that song came on again and i was SoOOO happy!!! but i still haven't looked up those other missing lyrics that i found so i don't know who sings it and i don't know if that's the song you wanted but it was a guy and it wasn't michael jackson lol.

so apparently it's lionel ritchie. who woulda thought? lol hope that's the one. if not at least i got what i wanted
