Solved: Country song; teen marriage.

Okay, this is probably a shot in the dark, but does anyone remember a country song from the late 1980's or early 90's about a pair of teenagers who had a successful marriage even though everyone said they were too young? I know this isn't much to go on . . . I don't remember the song very well, which is why it's driving me crazy! I think it had one line that went something like, "Seventeen . . . and 'way too young." Maybe it mentioned that the girl had to support the guy (financially when they were young, and quite literally when they were older); or perhaps I've gotten two songs mixed together?! Does this sound familiar to anyone? Thanks!

I should have mentioned that it was a female vocalist who sang this song.

It sounds alot like Tanya Tucker's song "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane"
If that's not it, let me know. I think there's one more song that fits your description.

The only country song about teen marriage I can think about is Phil Vassar's "In A Real Love".

The song I was after is definitely older than Phil Vasser's-- the Tanya Tucker one is more from the right time period. However, I'm pretty certain that there was that image of the girl's supporting her husband ("he depends on her", or "leans on her," or some such image) that appears a couple of times in the song, with a different interpretation each time.

"Two Sparrows in a Hurricane," though, is so close to what I had in mind that perhaps I truly was thinking of it and just mixed it with parts of a different song in my mind. I had forgotten all about "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane," and it is very, very similar to the main idea of what I was trying to remember.

Okay. Your answers helped me figure out what was going on in my head.

I WAS thinking of "Two Sparrows in a Hurricane," but I was getting it mixed up in my mind with some lines from Paul Overstreet's "She Supports Her Man."
