My wild guess is "Mrs. Pinocci's Guitar" by Cheryl Wheeler

    Red face

thanks anyway but it´s not the one I´m looking for. More lyrics: "ooh baby we had the time of our lives, making music and love that night (or musical love)..."

I am already registered on too many other websites to keep up with them, so I am gonner let you do the leg work on this one.

I found a Rick James fan website (see attached link) and one of the user's "signature" is "making Musical Love with you". You could join the website and send that user a private message regarding where they got the quote from for their "signature".

Hi Alicia, I have also been wondering about this song for years, since I heard it as a young boy. I always thought it was called:" The Biggest Hit Song of All Time", which was the hook.

"...we had the time of our lives... love that night, .... we wrote the biggest hit song of all time".

I have no idea who it was, but it was a neat song. If you find out who it was, I'd love to solve the mystery.

    Thanks,
    Geoff

David Pomeranz has a song called "Hit Song of All Time" on his 1976 album, "It's in Everyone of Us". He wrote a couple of hit songs for Barry Manilow. While this song is about the right age and genre for what you looking for, I can not find a sample or lyrics.

    Default That might be it!

The title sounds promising. If anyone can find it, I'd love to hear even a sample of it.

    thanks,

    Geoff
