Trying to find the name and artist of a song

Hi Everyone - My brothers friend has a question on a song from back in 69 or 70. Thanks in advance to anyone that knows the answer to this mystery.........



I am enlisting everyone's help on this. I am trying to find the name of a song. Obviously, I don't know the name or who did it. I heard the song in 1970, while I was in Vietnam. That means it was released in 1970 or 1969. I believe it was by a group, and not an individual artist. I can only remember a couple of lines of the song.

If any of you remember hearing that song and remember the name of it, please let me know.

Hello,

This is the first time since 1970, that I have listened to that song. Thank you very much for your help. Over a lot of years I have asked people if they remembered the song. One person I worked with said he remembered hearing it, but didn't know anything about it.

The song is meaningful to me because I was flying helicopters in Vietnam when I heard it. I remembered the line "Taking a ride on an everyday flight to nowhere", because I flew over 100,000 miles in Vietnam, but never went anywhere. Once again, thank you very much.
