"I realize now"

I don't know how to find this song: All I remember is the chorus, that has a few lines beginning with

"I realize now, ***************" (or "I've realized now...")

The singing sounds high, with a slight accent, a little similar to Bakara, and the song itself sounds like an upgraded version of something from the 70s... But with bands like scissor sisters I don't even know if it's a female voice or not..

Help?

(For you musicians I can say the harmonies in the chorus are something like

D C#m C Em

with the "I realize now" on the D)
