Please help identify the movie

There was a movie that came out in the late 80s early 90s about a woman who had HIV/AIDS and got married to a man who did not. She infected him and their child(who later passed) . The Pretenders, "I'll Stand By You" was played in this movie. Does anyone remember the name of this song? Thanks in advance.
