This has gone on, far too long!

(this is definately a UK song btw)

Ok there was this song used on the end of some channel 4 racing highlights about 3-4 months back and it has literally been stuck in my head ever since and ive been completely unable to find out who the hell sings it/track title.

I know a few lyrics from the song but how accurate i heard them is another story, in no particular order;

'you were an angel when you were born'
'help us through the black/dark times'
'gentle loving and warm'

It was a female vocalist, and the style was very much kate nash/lily allen, sounded a lot like kate nash tbh...i looked at all her songs lyrics to no aveil.......this is really doing my nut in and i feel lame having to post a thread to find out lol, any info is greatly appreciated!

Next wild guess is "Like An Angel - For April" by YNGWIE MALMSTEEN
