    I heard this song on a classic rock station and can't find who sings it or what the song's name is on the Net. Partially because I keep getting a zillion hits for "Space Truckin" by Deep Purple and it's not that.

    This song is sung/kind of spoken by a deep, gravelly-voiced guy and some of the lyrics I remember are "space truckin mutha <something>" and "keep on shining that ball" (or keep on rubbing that ball).

    After I wrote this I had to laugh at the lyrics but I swear this is what I heard! Any help is appreciated.

    You truly are FAB, F A B Scott!!!!!!! Thanks SO much for figuring this mystery out, it was driving me crazy. And lollipop is right on with what I thought was "shining that ball", LOL, talk about far off with what I thought I heard!

    I just played the song and love it...I'm definitely going to get their greatest hits now.
