    Question Pop song from 80's???

The song is from 80's or maybe early 90's. I don't know the lyrics but I "know" some words witch may be wrong: "Get your body go/low/move???" "Round, round...". Unfortunately there is no record option so I can't sing the melody to you BUT... I know the video! Or at least I think so.

The background is plan, with one color - white... maybe it changes sometimes to orange or some other color, but background color is plain. On the floor there are cubes in different colors. There are I think two or three guys in band and they are playing trumpets in the video... like "Paaa Raaa Pa Pa... Paaa Raaa Pa Pa" x 2 (non-English romanization). The guys are around 30 to 40 y.o., and only one is singing as I can remember. They wear plain white tuxedo and pants or something like that.

And it is well know song but nobody I asked don't know the melody... huh, and sorry for my bad English.

Well...a video that I can think of from that time frame that is plain white, would be Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al". They play a trumpet and there are two guys (one singing) but the floor doesn't change colours like you had mentioned...(it would really help to hear the melody you're talking about). I'll keep looking though and I'll let you know if something turns up.

    Cheers!

You can record yourself on your computer (if you have a microphone) singing the melody, save the file and upload the file to a file sharing site like zshare or yousendit. After the file has finished uploading, it will provide you with an http...... and you can then post that link to this forum where we can listen to it and help you find the song.

Thank you Thistle! Viva la Scotland! It's Paul Simon's "You Can Call Me Al". I just check it on YouTube. I was just 4 y.o. when that song was released, that is why I don't remember it so good.

actually, i think, you are mixing 2 videos together, the one with Paul Simon and Chewy Chase: Video Paul Simon-You Can Call Me Al Video - paul, simon, chevy, chase, 80's - Dailymotion Share Your Videos
and then another one, that was playing in the same time, it had 2-3 men in totally white tuxidoes, and they played trumpets, and every time they stepped, then on the white floor was made from cubicles and those cubicles changed to red, yellow and some other bright color.

if my old head could only remember that other song, it's bugging me like hell

but i'm glad, you find your song, i'll go hunting no that other one (from wich i don't recall any words or melody, just those colored steps and white suits haha)

Darn, my english is very bad (i'm sorry ), i meant by that other video, that it was a whole different song (the one with white tuxidoes and colored floor). I also think, that 'Call Me Al' and that other video (with colored floor) were both played at the same year (both was very popular songs).
I don't know if people call 'Call Me Al' also 'Bodyguard' song, but i suppose, they do, as there are lyrics like this: "You can be my bodyguard". But it is not the same song, where in the video is colored floor and men in white tuxidos playing trumpets.

Oooh, i hope you get my point, my english will not go any better from this

I've searched for that other video, but it is very hard to search, if you only remember from it colored cubes on the floor, so i will let this one go, and try to throw this video out of my head.

Lollipop you are right. I was applying melody from "You Can Call Me Al" with that other video which is very, very similar to "You Can Call Me Al" video. Unfortunately I don't remember the melody of the song, BUT I think that one guy from that video looked a bit like actor Bill Murray or maybe like singer Phil Collins (I know they don't look alike). Or maybe it's just in my head.

I was looking for melody "You Can Call Me Al", but now I'm also interested in other video. Hope someone will identify it.
