Need to find out Title and Aritst 70's tune

Hi, It has been driving me nuts since I heard this tune a few weeks ago, I can not figure out the name of the song or the artist. Can anyone help, here are some of the lyrics:
Heather, Heather, I never met a girl like you in my life...

Anyone? Please help it is one of my favorite songs from the 70's but can't find it on Itunz as I don't have and artist or song name. Thanks in advance.

Is it possible you misheard the "Heather" part? The song "Suavecito" by Malo goes "Never, never, I never met a girl like you in my life." They drag out the "Never" part so I could see it being interpreted as "Heather."

Glad to help. Oddly enough, even though I really like that song, I've never been able to figure out all the lyrics. Luckily, the beginning I do know!
