Help - Song from the 1970's

There is a song I am trying to identify which i first heard in the early 70's. I don't know the name of the song or who sang it but some of the words I can remeber are "hey billy what you doing today"
I know its not much to go on but any assistance in identifying the song is appriciated

could it be Blossom Toes- Billy Boo the Gunman they released their album in 1967. the lyrics are not exactly the same but similar in a way...

Perhaps "Which Way You Going, Billy?" by the Poppy Family? Again not an exact lyric match, but it asks Billy a question ...
