please help me...song from 1969 or 1970

I'm looking for a song or really it was 2-3 songs in one from 1969 or 1970, I think. It was a song with 2- 3 titles, one of them had New York in the title and another was about someone who was dying, which I don't remember the title. That is really all I know...not too much to go on. Hopefully, someone knows

Is the song you're looking for a combination of multiple somgs like The Guess Who's "No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature" or is it the same song with different titles and/or by different artists?

Right it was the like Guess Who song where it was the same artist, but a medley of about 2-3 songs in one. One was upbeat with New York in the title or about NY, and the other was a sad song about someone dying. I cannot remember what the 3rd was, but I seem to remember that there were 3 songs in it. All I remember is some lyrics "You say (blank) is dying and there's nothing that I can do".
