2 random songs..

ok, i have NO idea who sings these songs - please help =]

the first one is sung by a girl and the lyrics go
"it's just a matter of time before this lovely love stops
before the other shoe drops...
before we've driven our hearts back to the starting line"

the second one is a boy singer and it says
"you're electric" a lot & it sounds like one of those
cute little hellogoodbye-type bands.
...i know that doesn't help much
but i can't quite remember the rest =/
