This is a song we sang back in the fifties. I need to find it for a reunion.
This is the way it starts:

I'm just a poor bachelor who never did wed, but please don't feel sorry for me.....

The chorus line is:

Drink to the girl that I never did find, drink to the road that I roam;
Drink to the dreams that will never be mine, as I go drifting along

I would really appreciate it if I could find the artist and/or the title.

Yes, yes !! I had an idea it might have been Frankie Laine. I did do some searching and found lists of his songs, but couldn't find it listed. With the year and correct title
I have a much better chance of finding a recording to buy or download.

Well, I googled 'I'm Just a Poor Bachelor' and guess what? I found it on eBay!
It's a 45 rpm recording and purported to be in good shape. Fortunatley I have a
turntable that plays 45's so I ordered it and will have it for the reunion. Again,
