I could never read a women?

Hey all.

I just rememberd this old song that I use to hear, some time between 97-02. I heard it on Daria I rememberd and on the radio alot when it was popular. It had some old rap/r&b tune and the only lines that I can kind of remember were like

"I could never read a women" and then it would go into like a after chorus instrumental with like violins.

"I could never read something if it weren't for you" it lists all this stuff in place of something a few times then says he could never read a women.

It might not even say that, any help?

The phrase "I could never read a women" is grammatically challenged so I'm not sure how to look for the song you want.

Phonetically it's a better match than my wild guess ("I could never be your woman").
