I am wondering if anyone knows what the name to this song is. It came out in the 60's, and may have been a one hit wonder. Anyway, some of the words were, as close as I can remember, these: " the rivers gettin wide, the rivers gettin long now, the waters gettin deep, as our love gets strong now, O baby don't fight, girl tonight, you belong to me. " The bridge was like " It's too late to turn the tide, baby, it's too late to hide away baby, it's too late ? denying to me ... ". Other parts were " Upon the roof, we heard the gentle rain ... with the rythm of our heartbeats, down it came ... " .The singers were a guy, kinda old, and two younger women. I saw them on American Bandstand ( MAN I'M OLD!!! ) and I really liked the song. ANY HELP PLEASE?
