Hi, just wondering if i could get a little help identifying a song. I heard it on a mix cd at a party but couldnt find anything out.

Heres what i know:

Its kinda a country song but the singer doesnt have much (if any accent).
The singer is male.
Its about unrequited love or ending a relationship.

Some of the lyrics (may not be the exact words but the meaning is the same):
"She never called"
"she'll look back at this as one of her many regrets"
and the singer mentions his father.
