I recall an album in 1985-1986 that I am pretty sure was Wendy and Lisa. I remember one line from one song "Why don't you just strap a matress to your back"

But...

...could it just maybe be, that it was a song by another girl band called Vanity 6? They have a song called If A Girl Answers Don't Hang Up and they have that mattress verse in there too
