    Talking Irish Song Unknown?! Help

Hi there, my poor hubby is wracking his brains at the moment about a song he used to have when he was younger... it was on a tape in the late 90s but he isnt sure if that is when it was released.

It was an irish song sung by an irish fella... and it was somehing to do with a stag night? He said it was one of those more comical irish songs, bit like 7 drunken nights kind of thing... he thinks it involved someone either coming or going from liverpool to ireland.

I know it is a long shot that anyone might have any clue what he is on about (i know i certainly dont!) but i thought it was worth a shot Unfortunately he cant even remember any specific lyrics! SO i think he has sent me on a wild goose chase! LOL

thanks in advance for any help

Hmmm... "Rocky Road to Dublin"? :/

The boys of Liverpool, when we were safely landed
Called meself a fool, I could no longer stand it
Blood began to boil, temper I was losing
Poor old Erin's Isle they began abusing
"Hurrah me soul!" says I, me shillelagh I let fly

    Éirinn go brách!

This one is actually funny. Just like "The Night Pat Murphy Died", regardless of the name. It's just...in Irish songs whiskey is a must, and most of the times a good fight, too.

Oh the night that Paddy Murphy died is a night I'll never forget
Some of the boys got loaded drunk and they ain't got sober yet
As long as a bottle was passed around every man was feelin' gay
O'Leary came with the bagpipes some music for to play

    (It's actually a Newfoundland song)

Hm, I'll keep checking out my Irish songs, but it will take some time, as I have way too many. :/
