Are not the lyrics to Two Princes by the Spin Doctors
the lyrics are
One, two, princes kneel before you
(thats what I said, now)
Princes, princes who adore you
(just go ahead, now)
One has diamonds in his pockets
(that sounds great, now)
This one, said he wants to buy you lockets
(aint in his head, now)
This one, he got a princely racket
(thats what I said, now)
Got some big seal upon his jacket
(aint in his head, now)
Marry him, your father will condone you
(how bout that, now)
Marry me, your father will disown you
(hell eat his hat, now)
Aww, marry him or marry me,
Im the one that loves you b baby cant you see?
Aint got no future or a family tree,
But I know what a prince and lover ought to be,
I know what a prince and lover ought to be....
Said, if you want to call me baby
(just go ahead, now)
An if youd like to tell me maybe
(just go ahead, now)
An if you wanna buy me flowers
(just go ahead, now)
And if youd like to talk for hours
(just go ahead, now)
Said, one, two, princes kneel before you
(thats what I said, now)
Princes, princes who adore you
(just go ahead, now)
One has diamonds in his pockets
(that sounds great, now)
This one, he wants to buy you lockets
(aint in his head, now)
Marry him or marry me,
Im the one that loves you baby cant you see?
Aint got no future or a family tree,
But I know what a prince and lover ought to be,
I know what a prince and lover ought to be....
Said, if you want to call me baby
(just go ahead, now)
An if youd like to tell me maybe
(just go ahead, now)
If you wanna buy me flowers
(just go ahead, now)
And if youd like to talk for hours
(just go ahead, now)
And if you want to call me baby
(just go ahead, now)
An if youd like to tell me maybe
(just go ahead, now)
If youd like buy me flowers
(just go ahead, now)
And if youd like to talk for hours
(just go ahead, now)
Said, if you want to call me baby (just go ahead, now)
And if youd like to tell me maybe (just go ahead, now)
If you wanna buy me flowers (just go ahead, now)
And if youd like to talk for hours (just go ahead, now)
Ohh baby (just go ahead now)
Oohh your Majest... Forget the King and marry me...
those are the lyrics I have in my copy of 'Pocketful Of Kryptonite' album and the lyrics I sung with them in my local when they played Manchester.
Not being pedantic, I'm just saying they're not the lyrics.

I don't want to get into an argument with you but:
If the lyrics in the link are NOT for the song in the link that is given with it, what song do you think they are for?
I listened to the linked song and it matches word for word with the linked lyrics.
The one you say you sang along with in the club was obviously a live version and perhaps the lyrics were a slight variation.
Either way, many songs have variations and if the Original Poster is happy so should we be.
Cheers and thanks for your input.

Well, you were arguing with me because I never said the linked lyrics weren't by the band as I know the lyrics off by heart
the lyrics I said wern't from the song were:
"call me... why you call an hour... with me I'll bring you flowers so why don't you, call
and that had been sorted out way before you posted

no, I didn't say I sung it in a club, I said myself and the Spin Doctors (plus some of my friends) sang along to the CD in a pub after the show so:
1. It was them singing it (and they should know the words)
2. It was the original '...Kryptonite' recordings (original lyrics)
Basically, what you're saying is trying to contradict me and I really don't feel there was a need as I was just trying to help someone.
didn't think I'd get into trouble by some pedant when I was just helping someone... Jesus wept.

Like I said in my post, they sang the one in the video and the lyrics match - that to me is concrete proof.
I also said many songs have different versions.
I'll consider this an end to the matter as the question has been satisfactorily answered.

nensondubois, like many users of this site, did not remember every lyric to detail, but only most of them. I love this CD, actually the first one I ever bought. Haven't seen the video until today. Good find... And Luke, take requests with a grain of salt, not everyone knows exact lyrics to what they are looking for.
Peace!
