    I extracted this song from the end of Ergo Proxy episode 7, and I wondered if anyone knows this song, either name/composer of the classical version, or the name/artist of this particular mix.

    This is Giulio Caccini's "Ave Maria".

    The particular modern version is performed by Rebecca Luker.

    Yes, Scott, it's from Paul Schwartz' album "Aria 2 - New Horizon". But the singer is Rebecca Luker. There are no other versions or remixes.

    In this album are also included pieces of Monteverdi's "L'Arianna", Verdi's "La Traviata", Franz Schubert's "Winterreise" and Jacques Offenbach's "Les Contes d'Hoffmann".
