need help with song

Hi, I was just wondering if anyone could help me remember this song I heard last night in a restauraunt. i asked all my friends and they had no idea. All I can remember, was that it had the lyrics, dont you want me and dont tell me. Thats all i could remember or hear, it really isnt much to go on but thats all I can remember, apart from the tune. I would certainly recognise it if i heard it again, but I cant really explain it. I know its a relatively new song, defo not before 2000, and not this year. i think it was probably between 2003 and 2006. That really doesnt help, but thats the only thing I can think off. I hope someone can help, however i think i have given to vague details for anyone to guess, but any ideas would be appreciated.

It would help, if you try to remember these things:

1. man or woman singing?
2. what style of music?
3. any particular instruments, like guitar riffs, maybe trumpets etc.?

thanks it was defo a man singing, the syle of music was I think pop, it was a bit like dance music aswell in places. no rap. there were some guitar riffs aswell i think
