Question Help identifying old new wave/modern rock song

Hi all,

I don't have much to go on for this song. I remember hearing it back in the mid/late 80s here in the US, but it definately had a European / modern rock sound to it. I actually heard it when I was in Europe this summer, but I didn't have time to write down the lyrics to help identify it

All I have to go on, is part of the chorus, which isn't much to go on, but I totally remembered the 20 year old song by it.. Anyways, the chorus part is something like "fire fire!" but the woman singing it has an accent so it sounds like "foy-eh foy-eh!"... The song is pretty much sprinkled with random "foy-eh!" LOL, I don't even know why I like the song when you put it like that but still, any help would be greatly appreciated

I know a lot about modern rock and this sounds more like a euro dance track by the way you describe it...

The only song I know with "fi-yah" in thew chorus is "the one I love" by REM

Could the words be "feuer feuer" [German for fire fire]which would sound like foy-eh foy-eh.

If you think that is a possibility, there's a German band called X-Mal Deutschland who had a song called Incubus Succubus with plenty of "feuers" in the lyrics. There's a video of it here
Unfortunately the quality of the video is not too good.

This is probably not the one you are looking for but, who knows?
