Solved: A touch one

Here’s a tough one because I don’t remember the artist, but I think I know enough of the key details. Here’s what I remember. The song was on mainstream radio around ’96 or ’97. It had a very cool vocal riff solo in the middle by, I think, B. B. King or someone who sounds a lot like him. Any help would be so appreciated to get this loop out of my head and the whole song onto my ipod. Many thanks.
