Default Solved: Dream Girl

I was going through my old 45 records - well not the originals i dont have them any more - but luckily I copied them on to the computer a while back -

Anyway one song - Dream Girl - had me stumped as to who sang it.
The lyrics are...

Well I Guess You Know
That I Really Go
For That Come Up Smile
And Those Laughin' Eyes Of Blue
Little Dream Girl, My Dream Girl

And The Way You Move
Only Goes To Prove
That I Sure Could Fall For You
Little Dream Girl, My Dream Girl.

When You Walk Down The Street
Oh You Knock Me Off My Feet
I Never Thought A GirlCould Look So Sweet
But Your Twice As Nice As Sugar And Spice

From Top To Toe
You Just Really Glow
Like A Perfect Dream
Made Of Silk And Satin And Pearl
Little Dream Girl
My Dream Girl

My (aging) memory is pretty certain it was a guy called Mark Wynter, but any reference to him and that song on the 'net draws blanks even at i-tunes who seem to have every other song he sang for sale.

I certainly remember his face when i saw his album art. In fact there is virtually nothing on the song that I could find except an archive on a forum where someone asked that question and was told it was Bryan Davies an Aussie singer, but my version is not that one - I think he did cover it though - this is going back to early mid 60's.

Davy Jones had a song in 1965 called "Dream Girl". It was released on the album, "The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees" in 1968 when he was with the Monkees. The pop style of the song you are looking for is the same genre as most of the Monkees' songs. However, I was not able to find lyrics or a sample.

@breakfast11: i found couple of references to Mark Wynter and a song called Dream Girl, in example one link is here: http://www.poparchives.com.au/feature.php?id=166

There are no lyrics or song samples coming with those links, so I don't know, if it is even the same song, that you have lyrics for in your post...

And the song called Dream Girl was on his first LP called "Warmth of Wynter" here: http://www.markwynter.com/buycd.htm

Thanks lollipop - think you have answered my query - just love to find a version somewhere to download - will post my mono version of the lp-rip later so you can hear it - quality is just ok - but not stereo.
