Hello -
a friend gave me a cassette tape in 1993 with several songs. I have lost the tape and am trying to figure out who the artist was. The singer was a female, the songs were ballads, very pretty - the woman's voice was like a cross between Carly Simon and the lead singer for the Cranberries, if that makes sense. The lyrics for one of the songs go as follows, to the best of my recollection - it was about a mother and her daughter:

When I was young I had dolls
Some could walk some could talk
Others would wet when I'd lie 'em down

(Another fragment)

But you, you're like no doll

Thanks in advance for any help - this has been bugging me for years!
