Solved: Please Help Identify

A melody has been playing in my head for several days now that I would really appreciate help in identifying. I have only a few snippets of lyrics so lyrics.com as not been helpful. I believe its a late 70s/early 80s tune. Its a soft ballad that was probably a top 10 hit at the time...probably elevator music now.

Leyna, Thanks for looking into this, I know I did not give people much to work with.

Its not related to jazz music. It was a pop/soft rock piece. Think something soft, melodic,...Something maybe the Bread could have sung or Hall and Oats.

I can hear the tune clearly...I just do not have much more on lyrics.
I am sure about the ending with the shimmering wind chime sounding musical effect between the "and I love Yous" at the the end of the song.

Hopefully more will bubble up as I play it in my head. I will post whatever else come up.

The first lyric you provided reminds me of the old song, "Dizzy" by Tommy Roe (covered by Boney M)

That was late 70's ballad and was extrememly popular.

It even has a short piano instrumental piece that resembles wind chimes.

That song was my junior year prom theme song (1980)! I always loved it and everytime I hear it, it reminds me of an old long lost love from high school
