Identify: Song about a guy cursed with snakes

I heard this song a lot on the local college station about 2 years ago and have since decided to track it down. Lyric searches have turned up nothing, but you guys might be able to help.

Here are the lines that remember:

"Snakes in the bushes, hanging down from the trees" (repeats a lot)
"Steady killing snakes, I'm on a snake killing spree"
"Dead snake keep's a'livin' until the evening sun goes down"
"(something) snake charmer, put them snakes on me"

"snake charmer" might actually have been something else, too.

Anyway, that's all I can remember... please help me track down the artist and title?
