I cant figure out the title or artist of this song

I was listening to the radio and then heard a song, which name was never given, or artist. It was a long song, and it was mostly bass and drums. The singer was mainly just talking throughout it. He was talking about his girl for most of the time, about how he had a glass of wine in one hand and whatever...And he was "making love" to his girl and then all the sudden the phone rang. He picked it up and it was a guitar playing a wild solo. He then talked about how he loved just as much as you did (he was playing live) but he didnt know how to speak in guitar. He then went on trying to speak in guitar and he would vocally improvise something and the guitarist would mimic it. Please help, i really liked this song and i was highly dissapointed they didnt say who it was!

I think this might be REO Speedwagon "157 Riverside Avenue"? Way back in the late 70's/early 80's they had a live album called "You Get What You Play For" that it's on. Check that out.
