need help with a recent (alternative rock??) song

i'm not sure if that's what you would classify it as.. but i've heard it on the satelite radio recently but never caught the name of the song or who does it. it sounds like it is sung by a guy and the main instrument heard is a guitar or bass doing a simple tune.. and the only lyrics i caught are something along the lines of "and i find it hard to figure out what is going to change my heart" if you have any suggestions pleaseee let me know! thanks

i think i may have had the lyrics wrong.. it might actually be "i'm trying hard to figure out what is gonna change my love"... any clue??
