Identify this random jazzy rock tune!

Outside of the Old Spaghetti Factory one day, I heard a song with the following details.

- On a satellite radio channel along with other modern adult alternative hits such as: Better Than Me by Hinder, Bubbly by Colbie Caillat, If Everyone Cared by Nickelback, I'm Like a Lawyer With the Way I'm Always Trying To Get You Off (Me & You) by Fall Out Boy, Suddenly I See by KT Tunstall, etc.
- Soothing male vocals
- Many doodoodoo's in the chorus
- Themes of love, being alone, etc.
- If you're musical, the doo doo doo's are the following notes: ABCABCGFFEFEG
- Sort of jazzy rock and catchy sound to it

Let me know if you have any ideas. I've tried just about every method of trying to figure out what it is on my own.

kind of makes me think of "De Do Do Do De Da Da Da" by the police.....?

No, it's not as upbeat. The song is rather mellow in theme.
