Default 1970's folk/rock song please help identify

Hi. I was watching a movie from the early 70's last night. There was a scene where characters were watching a concert on TV -maybe The Midnight Special. The song starts out with a flute solo. Then the lead singer sings softly:

He preached the word of God
    This man of God
    But no one listened.
    Cause on Sunday babies cried
Farmers dozed and ladies squeezed their Bibles.
    A year of Sundays...

Does anyone have any idea what the title is and who sang it?

    Thanks in advance!

It was "Sarah T.: Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic" starring Linda Blair and Mark Hamil.

All I found was deadends for "Sarah T.: Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic". James Di Pasquale composed the soundtrack but I could not find any information on the soundtrack (and no one is selling it on e-Bay).
Them that can, do; them that can't... memorize Artist and Title
