Please help me with the title/artist of this song

Hello eveyone. Just stumbled across this forum and thought maybe someone might be able to help me. Used to hear this song a lot as a child but I asked my mother and she can't remember it either. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Are the vocals male, female, duet or group?
What is the genre of the song; pop, rock, C&W etc?

So sorry, probably should have mentioned that in the original post. Vocals are a solo female. It would be late 80's to mid 90's, r'n'b style along the lines of Karyn White and the likes. Hope that's a bit more helpful for everyone. Any ideas will gratefully received.
