I had a cassette of this "unusual" band back around 1981-1982, but it was lost long ago. I'm trying to identify and locate the band and/or songs. To the best of my old memory, the songs had a easy euro pop kind of style with a male vocal similar to some thing like Hair Cut 100, Human League, Spandel Ballet....
The first clue is a song probably titled "Memory Lane" and here are the lyrics I recall.....
Part of the verse...
"Been Accused quite frequently, that I lack imagination
But my fear more recently, is of a new persuasion"
Part of the chorus...
"There's enough gone wrong with my life so far
Couldn't stand it any other way
There's a place I tend to avoid these days - Memory Lane"
The second smaller clue was another song on the cassette that I barely recall. I can only remember one lyric line "Building Buildings". That was probably the title too.
As a final clue, I recall Memory Lane well enough to sing the melody, but I hope I won't have to. :-)
Thanks for any help.
