Help !! What's this song title/group name?

I cant remember much about the song's lyrics, but the group sounds very much like "Guns 'N' Roses". A friend of mine told me that it was "Maroon 5", I looked up videos on 'YouTube' but couldn't find one that fit with the song. So, here goes.........

In the song a guy keeps saying over and over "I wanna be me"?, "I just wanna live my life"?, he keeps repeating something along the lines of "be me"? towards the closing of the song where it climaxes and fades out.

I hope I've included enough to go on here, I've only heard the song played a few times at work through our satellite radio station. Again, I think the song is by "Gun 'N' Roses" because the lead singer has that kinda scratchy high-pitched voice.

I know every G'n'R song going and it's not them as thier new stuff (different line up) isn't out for commercial use yet (and hasn't been for 10 years - when Axl SAID he'd release it)

No, that's not the song. That's actually one of the videos I looked up on YouTube. Whoever sings this song sounds a bit like Axl Rose.
