What is the name of this simple common theme song, that gets played in weddings, whenever somebody is going to get married. This is a classical piece of tune.

Post No that song is not it.

No that song is not it. That is a good wedding song, though. I am still looking for that one common wedding song.

Some of these songs have already been suggested but here's the "top twenty-five list" for classical wedding procession music:

'Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin' (Richard Wagner) (also known as 'Here Comes the Bride')

'Canon in D' (Johann Pachelbel)

'Guitar Concerto in D Major', Largo, (Antonio Vivaldi)

'Air' (from Water Music Suite), (George Frederic Handel)

'The Prince of Denmark's March' (Trumpet Voluntary in D major) (Jeremiah Clarke)

'Procession of Joy' (Hal Hopson)

'Rigaudon' (Andre Campra)

'Wedding March' (from The Marriage of Figaro), (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)

Prelude from 'Te Deum' (Marc-Antoine Charpentier)

'Trumpet Tune and Air' (Henry Purcell)

'Trumpet Voluntary' (John Stanley)

Other Classical Wedding Ceremony Music:

'Coronation March for Czar Alexander III' (Peter I. Tchaikovsky)

'Overture' (from Royal Fireworks Music), (George Frederic Handel)

'Promenade' (from Pictures at an Exhibition), (Modest Mussorgsky)

'Sinfonia' (from Cantata No. 156), (Johann Sebastian. Bach)

'Cantata No.29' (Johann Sebastian Bach)

'Prelude and Fugue in C' (Johann Sebastian Bach)

'Toccata' (from L'Orfeo), (Claudio Monteverdi)

'Romance from String Quartet' (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)

'Piano Concerto No. 21 in C major' ('Elvira Madigan') (Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart)

'Trumpet Tune in A-Major' (David N. Johnson)

'A Midsummer Night's Dream, incidental music, Op. 61 Wedding March' (Felix Mendelssohn)

'Winter,' Largo or 'Spring' Allegro (from The Four Seasons), (Antonio Vivaldi)

'Wedding Processional' (from The Sound of Music) (Richard Rodgers & Oscar Hammerstein)

Red face Thanks. That's the melody I was looking for.

Thanks. That's the right tune. Bridal Chorus is the right melody, that I was looking for. It's good to know that Richard Wagner, just like Wagner Park did the Bridal Chorus theme song.

Red face Thanks. That's a good Christmas tune that Transiberian Orchestra also did:

Thanks. That's a good wedding song for December. Transiberian Orchestra also did that song. Pachelbel's Canon is a really good Christmas song for weddings. The Bridal Chorus theme song done by Richard Wagner was the most common wedding song of all.

Red face Thanks. I like Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin' & Canon in D' the best:

Thanks. The Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin' (Here Comes The Bride) by Richard Wagner just like Wagner Park, was the melody that I was looking for. It is pretty much the number one song, that you have on your list. Now I've learned that the song is called the Bridal Chorus from Lohengrin' (Here Comes The Bride) done by Richard Wagner. The number 2 song on your list, "Cannon in D'" done by Johann Pachelbel just like Ann is a good wedding song for December. Transiberian Orchestra also did the Canon in D'. I am so glad that you came up with a list of these wedding songs.
