Alright this one has been eluding me for a decade. It was a strange song. It had a very bassy rhythm in the first few verses. The singer's voice was very low. It was one of those songs I heard a few times in the 90's and most likely in Europe. It was a little psychedelic and had some kind of a psychedelic violin behind the melody. Hope this helps with the context.
It goes something like:
"I'll cut off two fingers from my left hand, if that's what it took to make you well.
I'll swear off champagne, travel, fishing and cocaine, if it would make you sane, make whole"
Then it goes into the chorus was something like:
"I'll sell my soul to God, if that's what it took.
Ooh, I'll bow down to the angels, if it would make you well again.
If that's what I had to do"
Like I said above it's a slow rhythm song.
Boy, if anyone can dig this one up I would be very happy.
Thanks in advance.

Glad to help you!
