Solved: Please help me solve this mystery its driving me crazy!

Hey everyone, new member here I love the site but i'm having a problem, I heard this song last night and I'm pretty sure its a late 80's or early 90's soft rock song.

This is how i think the lyrics go, its sung by a male.

Mystery solved the song was Dishwalla counting blue cars
