who is this?

I found two songs on my computer at work that I have no idea who sings the songs but I kind of like them and would like to know who it is. both songs are by the same person. They even sound alike kind of. Here are some of the lyrics of both.

Song 1: She comes on stage with a smile on her face. She knows how to put a man in his place. People comes for miles around to hear her sing. From a glass house is where she does her thing.

Song 2: She came to me on a cold cold morning. She was a dream I had last night. She gave me no fair warning. she said its going to be alright.

Would you be able to upload the songs to a hosting site for us to have a listen to?

There seems to be, like they are ripped from protected cd?

But please, can someone else say, if they get it to play, because if it is only me, then i start to look what is wrong with my settings...

Whoa!!
I have the same problem here , I got a message saying it was an illegal copy and that I needed to get a licence.
And when I tried that I got a message explaining that my netscape browser wasn't suitable for the license or some other mumbo jumbo...settings ...etc.etc.

I tried to open with another player (MG Jukebox) but that also didn't work ..
So I just gave up and felt stupid..

Ok, then it is not only me, and it is ripped probably with Windows Media, so the protection is on. To get those play, the ripping needs to be done again, but this time with copy protection turned off.

these songs were just on my computer and I liked the artist and would like to check out the cd. I thought it sounded a little like a mix of bob segar and tom petty

Ok since no one seems to know who this is does anyone have any suggestions as to where else I might look?

Does anyone have a guess as to who might be singing?
