I cant remember the name of this intrumental song from 80's or early 90's

I thought it was a song from the movie The Saint,..but I couldnt find it on the soundtrack. It was a haunting instrumental hit,...wasnt Val Kilmer in the movie. Maybe it had the name ballad in the title of the song. I heard the song last year too,....and I forgot the name. Thanks......
