I'm having real trouble identifying this one?

It's an acoustic track (guitar and harmonica) with a male singer who sounds like a cross between Matt Costa and Michael Stipe.

The song opens with the lyrics "Turn up the radio..." and closes with "....You sold me out"

And contains some very strange lyrics including...
"No visionaries stirred, died in this dirt and reminisces of 66 west" and
"And the images of all the men who could only go down on the back of your head. As heroes and pioneers and writers who are not yet dead"

Strangely even the administrators of the site where the track has been used seem to have no idea who it is?!

Any help would be very welcome...
