In the late 80's I was given a DJ mix tape possibly with music from an Independant label and/or music 'imported' into the UK. Odd snippets of one track keep popping into my head and I can't remember the title, the artist or even much of the lyrics so this is just a very vague 'shot in the dark' attempt to indentify it

The female singer had a voice very similiar to Sinead O'Connor's - the only bits of the lyrics I can recall are "I want to play with you all night" or "I want to be with you all night" and something about "playing with your love thing?" it was quite a modern sounding track, funky and upbeat and at the time i feel would have been a great club dance track.

Sorry, not much to go on but I've got to try and resolve this permanent irritation i've had in my head for about the last 10yrs !!

Any help would most welcome.
